What NASA Means? NASA  is defined as an acronym for the National Aeronautics and Space Administration, the federal agency that is responsible for aerospace research, aeronautics, and the civilian space program How NASA was created? July 29, 1958, United States NASA / Founded While this new federal agency would conduct all non-military space activity, the Advanced Research Projects Agency (ARPA) was created in February 1958 to develop space technology for military application. On  July 29, 1958 , Eisenhower signed the National Aeronautics and Space Act, establishing NASA. Where is the NASA? Washington, D.C.  NASA   Headquarters is in Washington, D.C. There are 10   NASA   centers across the United States. There are also seven smaller   NASA   work places where they test and study Earth and space What type of company is NASA? Who owns NASA? NASA  is funded by the U.S. government, and ultimately by the U.S. taxpayer. Its 2019 budget is $21.5 billion.The  National Aeronautics and Space Adm
